I was very satisfied with my earlier purchase of the combo deal. I needed more ammo, so I bought another combo, at the end of this run.

Any truth to the rumour, that the last 100 shipped, are the cream of the crop?

Haha better do a trigger job first if that's what she's used to... I got mine down to a clean 4.5# with all of the stock parts. Not bad for putting an hour into a $180 1911.

Oh, she's in love with my SR1911, I think this one may be a stocking stuffer!

(Disclaimer: in a locked case and trigger locked of course) "clearing throat!"

Add to that equation loading onto the delivery truck, then into the warehouse.

Are Commie goods like the domestic vehicles, if so can we ask for Wednesday made guns :)
But don't ya see, the last ones sold, were the first ones loaded on the ship, hence the last ones off.
Therefore, they were the first ones produced. I think!

Just jumped off the fence and ordered one of the combo's. Not sure how many are left? But at least my order is in. I had the Government Norinco 1911 in the passed, Was not very impressed . Hope the quality is a lot better. From all the responses to this thread it seems that way.

probably not since I doubt they get any breaks or weekends. LOL

as far as "domestic vehicles" is concerned, if you mean here in Canada, then there is no such animal largely thanks to our friends south of our border.

If by quality you mean fit and finish then no, it's not better. If by quality you mean reliability and function then possibly, I don't know how reliable the early models were but my current production 1911A1 functions great, it's just a bit rough around the edges.

The quality of the combo guns is quite a but rougher than quality of current commercial Nork offerings....

The reason is quite simple.

Nork QC is quite a bit better now than it was even 5-6 yrs ago. 10 yrs ago, it's night and day different.

These combo pistols were manufactured in the late 90s.

Cheers!

I just received a very lightly used commander model with fiber optic sights (newest model I think), and the difference with the combo 1911 is very noticeable, especially regarding how smooth the new one is compared to the older version.
the trigger has less travel and is crisper, and the finish is superior. I have not shot the commander yet though, but just by racking the slide and dry firing it, I can see the difference.
