The combo deal is also less then half the price then the new gun, its a 150 dollar gun in that combo, you cant expect anything mind blowing.

yes I know that, I was not bashing on the combo deal gun, just answering to those wondering about the fit and finish vs the new ones.
For the price it is, it's an amazing value and the old military colt look can't be beaten. mine is actually well finished and the fit is good. value for dollar, this one is better than the new one, but for someone than only wants one and can afford it, it's a better choice to buy the new model.

I took my new Norc 1911 to the range this weekend to try it out. Only managed to put 100 rounds through it in the time I had but its a great shooter. Good value for the money.

I just finished my IPSC black badge course, using my 1911a1 from CanAm, and ordered two more combos. I'm thinking I will probably sell the guns though, I alredy have two of them from this deal, plus the one I got my wife to buy for herself. It definately needs a few sharp edges smoothed out though, I wore the skin off the web of my hand from sharp edges on the grip safety and the back of the frame. Both my first ones seem pretty accurate after a quick trigger job though, but I can see one of them getting a mag well and beaver tail safety.

Ordered my Norinco 1911 combo on the 13th and arrived today 25th. Grips are intact. The package as expected came with Calibre magazines, targets, a pen, and a set of black grips. Great purchase, although my safety lever won't engage as it slightly comes in contact with the small rod above the grips. I'm sure I'll find a way to make it work.

Definitely satisfied with the service and purchase. I almost missed out on this deal. Thanks CanadaAmmo, looking forward to future deals.

Glad I grabbed an extra crate with the last combo. But not so sure the inventory system is 'live'. Showed 120+ last night. Maybe a huge buyer? That level (12-13 family packs) has been displayed for quite a while up to today, now gone :(

If anymore come up for sale I will take it. Also if anyone decides they are not interested let me know. Prefer local pick up in GTA.

The safety will always touch the plunger. The safety does not engage unless the hammer is cocked.

With the rumours of no more Norinco ammo coming into the country, I was trying to grab one more combo before they disappeared. Looks like I'm a day late. I thought they'd run out of guns before they ran out of ammo!
Tell me you have some more .45 in a forgotten pile in the back!

Just read in another thread that the ammo is out. I guess that's why they started to make the pistol available without the combo. I was wondering how long this thread was going to last.

Unless they make that gun $200, I can't see myself buying one by itself. Considering it was $170 with the deal. Although I did sell my first one for $300.

If you consider the value of the 45 brass is worth $100-$120 per 1000 the gun is actually about $70. I have no regrets with this deal. I have used the 1911 since I got it, done some upgrades, I have had NO malfunctions of any kind even with a shock buffer in it. This gun will be used in IDPA and IPSC. Norinco makes good stuff. This is my second Norc 1911. I also have a $1300 smith wesson 1911 and the norc shoots just as good. The ammo is a bit hot for competition but great for practice. The last batch I got is actually the same price as reloading.

My third, took less than two weeks to get here. Put a Kimber Conversion kit on number one, sold number two for $250.
I've put nice walnut grips on number three, and am keeping it that way.
This one is the nicest of the three, as far as fit, finish and tightness goes.
I'll try it tomorrow, to see how accuracy is.
And how much did this one hypothetically cost? About 68 bucks!
$499combo-$329(ammo)-$100(brass)-$2 (worth of kindling, from the crate):D

For $349 I forsee very few actually selling. And now especially with the lack of cheap bulk ammo now. I don't even see first time shooters really jumping on a sub $300 price tag if it came out.
