Whats your thoughts on Norinco 1911's? I heard their fit and fiish quality is lacking alittle but id expect that for the price. Im just wondering if anyone has one or shot and can telll me what they're like??

I used mine for ipsc, nice gun, look at my profile pic, and you can see what can be done with one on a good day, well I also did some inprovments on it, nothing much just a few

Norincos....

Pretty expensive to use for targets at the range. You might be better shooting at the steel gongs....lol... :p

NAA.

I have several 1911's , one of which is a Norinco. It goes shooting more than the others because at 10 yards it can put 5 shots in a small cluster.
At 25 yards , from a rest , under 3 inch groups are doable, depending upon the ammo.

Yes they have some rough edges, yes some lots are better than others. Perhaps I just got lucky with mine.

Every bit as accurate as the rest, chrome lined barrel, reliable, fun and a fraction of the cost. Deeply regret selling mine..
This is one quality Chinese item!

With decent sights the Norincos will shoot with the best of them. A Best Buy for IDPA CDP, with decent sights. You can build a great pistol out of them. Dlask did mine up and it is a shooter. Downside is you can't take them across the border to shoot

Mine is extremely accurate and reliable. It certainly performs out of it's price range. I'd suggest getting an Armco tuned one they're a little smoother and tighter, and you can have him put sights on it before he ships.

I have one and have shot many others. Great shooter for the price. Sights are crap and they usually need a trigger job. If you don't care about the finish, go for it...

can you change out the grips on a norinco 1911 with aftermarkets grips that just say "for 1911s"? and is the norinco 1911 with the 10 shot double stacked mag, is the handle anything thicker then the rest?

Ok sounds good. I was just worried about breaking parts thats why i figured i ask about them. I just wish .45acp wasnt so damn expensive to shoot. I guess i better learn to reload ;)

Yes on the grips. The Norinco Double Stack is a handful. Personally I would stick to the single stack.

My Norinco shoots just as good as my Colt. It was purchaced from & tuned by Gunnar (Armco) & is the best 1911 pistol for the dollar in my view. The polishing & finish is better on these new guns than some of the older ones I've seen. yes you can use other grips & change parts too.

The way it comes...

My norinco A1 now wears rosewood grips, & the MSH was changed to a steel flat type. I love my colt, but my norinco is my shooter....

Buy 1 or 2, you won't be sorry & spend the extra $80., purchacing from Armco. What he does is worth ever cent!

I've found remanufactured ammo can make a .45 more affordable - I pay $18 a box for .45 ACP. Top quality loads - haven't had any problems after 1000 rnds. Reloading myself would be even cheaper, but one has to consider the amount of time I would have to spend doing it.

where do you get an 18$ box?

as for the norinco question, mine shoots well....just sharp edges.
