Norinco 1911 Police Model and NP58 now IN STOCK.

Yep that's exactly what they're for (looks sweet!). Go ahead - rub it in

I called CanAm first thing this morning and got through! The guy asked for my name - couldn't find my order. Offered him my order number - he said that wouldn't help (wtf!?). He then asked for my RPAL number and said that he could find it that way, but that he'd call me back when he found it.

I haven't heard anything since. Nor have I heard back since Chris said he'd check with Mark (on this thread). Nor did I get a call back from the voice mail I left prior to that.

CanAm - it's now been 7 weeks since I ordered an item you say is in-stock. 4 1/2 weeks since you got my money. I've been very patient, polite, and understanding. However, if I treated my customers the way you do I would be out of business (and I would deserve it). Your service, quite frankly, sucks.

All I really want is a reasonable ETA for my gun, and you owe me that much. Anything above and beyond that and I might even go back to referring others to you.

At this point I wouldn't even consider it.

Do you know who you were talking to at Canada Ammo just out of curiosity?

Are these for a 1911?? If they there here is a pic of my 1911A1 2 tone with pachmyr wraparound grips.....they are awesome.

I'm not really a fan of the "two tone" but those grips really balance out the two colors!

Chris, one of your staff shines above the rest (at least if my experience is any indication). If you want to give him an 'atta-boy' for good customer service PM me - he deserves one IMO.

My issue has been resolved (or at least it's in the hands of the BC CFO now), thank you.

Glad to see your issues have beeen taken care of.....enjoy your 1911!!!

who should I contact to get a response? I waited 2 months and got the wrong gun. I just want a black 1911 before the spring is over.

when i ordered the np-58 on march 17th it said processed within the hour, today i got an e-mail of completed transaction with tracking #..... after reading some of the stories about waiting times i was a little nervous that it would take weeks upon weeks if not months. 2 weeks to the day and it's on its way... thanks canam, looking foreward to receiving my first restricted.

p.s; no one from cfo called me. i don't have a range membership and i thought i'd have some explaning too do. is that normal?

Finally! Today I received my 1911 two tone. Ordered Jan 30th.

I tore it down completely and hosed it with cleaner/degreaser, then let it soak in G96 for about 1/2 hour. Wow was it ever full of crud. After oiling and reassembling with my Pachmayr grips I was fairly impressed.

Two things: the magazine does not eject well, it takes exactly the right pressure on the mag release to drop it out. Worse is the blemish in the blueing on the top and LHS at the front of the slide.

All in all I got what I paid for I guess, not counting the overly long wait that is.

Will know better after I get it to the range

FWIW, I ordered a Norc blued 1911 Police via their website Sunday, March 22, 2009. On Tuesday, March 24th when I got home I received an e-mail saying that my order was denied. I gave a quick call to them to verify my CC info and request they try again. Stepped out for about half an hour and came home to a 'processed' e-mail. Received the pistol today. 11 days from start to finish. No complaints on my end about Can Am's service.....:)

mailman came knocking a few minutes ago. my np 58 arrived in good order. received it in 3 weeks after initial order. i don't think that was too bad for first restricted purchase. thanks canam...:D

Canam did end up recitfying my situation. The guy called me back with the reference number, and they had it shipped out ...must have been the same day the transfer was complete. Guy on the phone was very apologetic as well. So thumbs up again to Canam, slip ups happen, but they corrected it fast. This was my third transaction with them and I will continue to buy from them.

Gunnar now has the gun and is tuning it, so all in all a happy ending. :D
