Norinco 1911 - SAE grip threads (or metric)?

Is every part in the Norinco 1911 compatible with the original (i.e. US made 1911's and parts?)

Yes, the bushings accept standard 1911 thread grips screws, however the Norinco grip screw bushings themselves are a different thread than standard 1911 grip screw bushings where they screw into the frame.

Not sure why they did that but it is a bugger if you mess up a grip screw bushing & have to replace it.

Otherwise a Norc 1911 will accept standard grip screws, slot, hex or torx so you can swap out the crap grips they come with for something nice that bettter suits your taste....

If you are asking if they have the Colt Series 80 firing pin block safety system internally, they don't.....

If you have problems with the grip screw bushings, Brownells sells an oversize stock bushing and tap kit $54 USD.
