Norinco 1911 Sight Dovetails

Recently picked up a Commander model from Marstar, I am trying to find appropriate sized replacement sights. I know that there is "no such thing as drop in 1911 parts" but given how hard the steel is I am hoping to have to do as little work on the slide as possible to get em in.

Does anyone know the exact dovetail sizes? I have read both 60 and 65 degrees different places online and can't get a straight answer on height. I do not have the appropriate tools or else I would measure it myself.

The Norc uses a standard Colt 1911 rear sight. Buy any sight you want, with a matching dovetail front sight.

The front sight of a Norc is a non-standard dovetail. It is narrow, so any sight you buy will fit after the front dovetail is milled wider.

is that red insert , or a nice paint job? I usually have to do that.

Came that way. Expensive set. Front and rear about $12.00 from Numrich or Sarco. I bought a handful. Very strong and effective.
