Who carries replacement sights for the Norinco 1911? Mine blew off within the first few shots, C.A. doesn't have any left, and I can't tell if any on the net will fit the Norc.

Marstar does, guess yours was not hit with a hammer tight enought, mine needs a jack hammer to move, could be your sight was made to small, or the dove tail grove was made to big. better find out which it was

Haven't tried tapping the dovetailed portion out yet, but I'm guessing it was the sight being made too small as the top part popped off the dovetailed part. CA told me it was a common issue with the 1911's they sold.
I'll give those businesses a call - thanks

Interesting...so, the front sight blade essentially broke off from the dovetailed base? If so, that's the same thing that happened with mine. CanAm sent me a replacement front sight (thanks guys!). I didn't know that it was happening with other guys as well. In case your wondering, the dovetailed base from mine miked at 0.248"...which I'm told is a bit of an oddball size for 1911s.

Yep, on the 7th shot the blade disappeared and left the dovetail intact on the slide. Haven't tapped what's left of mine out yet to size it but kinda figured the Norcs may have a unique size. Preferably I would like to find some decent adjustable sights to mount in (although not certain yet if any makes will fit in the Norcs), or maybe splurge on mounting something like a Burris Fastfire.

marstar did have adjustable that would fit a 1911, everthing on a norc but the threads for the grips are the same, so after market parts will fit,i have put north american parts in mine, no problem. you should post a pic of this sight
