Kinda tight to insert.
Ditch the Norinco magazines. They don't work so hot anyways.
Yes, it drops fine when released. No feeding issues though. Was using PMC ammo and all fed perfectly. Great pistol for the price.
Anybody tried the Armco Norinco 1911 tune up package?
Were you able to replicate the issue with other mags?
I'd look for rough machining on the magazine body, mag channel inside of frame, inside of trigger bow, and mag catch. Or possibly the trigger bow is slightly collapsed (mine was, but it's an easy fix).
Yup. Twice, need I say more?

This is probably correct. It is likely the mag release, not the mag.
Try removing the mag release from the frame, smooth that part of the mag release, that the top radiused part of the magazine contacts when inserting the mag. Disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble. Then try slamming the mag in using the palm of your off hand. The only complaint is the magazine. Kinda tight to insert.
What exactly is their list of refinements? And does the gun function like a domestic 1911 afterwards?

I have 9 Norkie 1911 magazines and they all work 100% of the time.
I have 8 McCormick mags. They occasionally FTF.
Oh ya? Odd.
I have the opposite with mine. One of the Nork mags works not too bad, the other one doesn't drop free and gives me issues with the follower from time to time.
My CMC mags work flawlessly.
