Had a Norinco 1911A1 years back (bought it at a garage sale shortly after moving from New York to Alaska), and in a moment of weakness traded it at our local gun shop - one of those "it semed like a great idea at the time" events. I soon realized it was one of the dumbest moves I've ever made. Recently spotted another at the same gun shop, ran home to gather up some trade goods, and it now roosts in my safe. I own five 1911A1s, and can say without hesitation the Norinco is made to perfect tolerances, and and has the finest action of any out-of-the-box 11A1 I've ever handled - and in 38 years as a licensed gunsmith back in NY I'd handled quite a few. If you have the opportunity to purchase a Norinco M1911A1, be it new or in good used condition, go for it. You won't regret it.
