HI all need your help.
I was at the range today and noticed my front sight for my 1911 was loose and ready to come off. I got loctite (Blue) and jb cold weld. What one out of the 2 would do a better job or is there something else that would do a better job

Thanks
Chris

Or use a correct swaging tool; perhaps it could be reset. Or solder it in place from the inside. Or replace it (narrow tenon Colt pattern) and swage it firmly into place.

dovetail or pinned? Red locktite is what i use, its stronger. JB weld is too permanent, Might be a good time to upgrade your sites......

I'd jump on the opportunity to get some sights you can see, have a new front staked in and get a decent rear sight.

My Norc Commander had staked front sights but my new two tone has a dovetail. The front sight on mine was loose, I used red locktite, it has worked so far. There doesn't seem to be too many aftermarket dovetail front sights available for the 1911, or at least I couldn't find any.
