Norinco 1911A1 barrel bushing

Happy is the man who gets a 1911 with a tight fitting bushing between the slide and bushing! :)

This is how match bushings are setup in the slide and always require the wrench to move. All my 1911's get fitted that way for accuracy.
Between the barrel and bushing is another matter. It needs to move freely, but not too loose and be able to unlock from the lugs and swing down via link pin in order to function as intended.

Both my well shot Norc 1911's I don't need or use a bushing wrench. My Kimber 1911 it is best to use the wrench that came with the gun. Parts go flying if you don't!!!

A buddy of mine uses a large plastic bag to stip his Kimber because of it's desire to shoot parts around the room..
I'm thinking should be mandatory for Kimbers at least :)
