Just got a Norinco 45 while inspecting it out of the box I noticed it would fire with the slide safety engaged and the grip safety no pressed, sent it back and it was replaced no problom at all, anybody else hear of this problom

One of my Norks has a marginal grip safety...but if it fires with the main safety in the on position, it is truely FUBAR! If fact, I have a tough time visualizing how this is even possible...

My norc has had no problems.

Yours sounded pretty messed up. Nearest I can figure for your manual safety would be that bar that lifts up into the hammers way was missing???

Did you take it apart to find out?

Never looked at it myself I immediatly sent it back being a new gun but the dealer said that it had broken parts inside, the cocking assembly, got my new one it shoots good for the money

Yes, it does happen

This used to be more common - one in 3 or 4 had either the loose safety or loose grip safety symptom. Nowadays a bit more rare, but still occurs once in a while. A lot of owners have a marginal safety and never know it. Here's the test: Engage the safety. Press the trigger. Now SLOWLY ease the hammer back, and if you hear/feel a very faint "click", your safety almost let the hammer drop. The sear was about half disengaged with the safety on and you just re-cocked the hammer :)
Potentially disastrous.

These are two of many reasons I don't sell Norincos stock out of the box. Yours may work fine, but I have definitely seen them able to fire with the safety engaged. Not tough to fix BEFORE it is shipped out, but if not....:)
