Guys I know this has been this spoke about before but its been a while and there wasn't a lot of actual fact and more what the differences were in the photos.

What is the difference between these guns besides the serrations? Is the police model even for sale anymore? I see the one in Canadaammo but judging by the search tool. It seems that these guns are not being sold anymore? if that's the case why dont they just take the ad off?

if they are still in sale, do you guys think itll be stocked by feb? or should I just go with the Sport? do these guns have match barrels or are they just a regular steel one?

Ps. comparing these to the Norinco NP-29, which one would be the best? sorry guys million questions here. I just want to buy one here and would really like to hear peoples opinions.

The police model is no longer available. Canadaammo for some reason hasn't updated their picture. It is the sport model that they are selling. I enquired about it last year.

Here is some tips about Norincos, I bought several Norincos used because if a trust worth seller say it is reliable, then you get a good gun for less money, but if yo buy new one, you will get higher chance to get a lemon. The newer sport seems to be as good as the police model. doesn't seems many fail report. amount their 1911's, NP-29 is very high demanding and you will see some pop up at the EE once a while.

NP20 is a Chinese issued police pistol, not a 1911.

Norinco Sport model has these upgrades according to Marstar's page:

- Three dot sighting system
- Extended slide release
- Front slide serrations
- Ambidextrous safety
- Raised anti glare rib on slide
- Large beavertail grip safety
- Lite weight competition hammer
- Lightened target trigger
- Full length guide rod
- Extended mag release
- Comes with one magazine

A site can only tell you so much. I saw all the details on the sport mentioned above but there is nothing better than the experiences of someone owning one.

I have the Police, Sport and the 9mm. Both 45's hoot very well. Both got trigger jobs, but a friend got one with a good trigger out of the box. My luck with the 9mms has not been so good so far as accuracy is concerned.

The only different that I found in between the police and the newer sport is the police has a arched steel main spring housing while the sport has a flat housing. some people even has a plastic housing on the sport model. My police has a standard slide release.
