Looking for some insight on Norinco 1911A1 pistols and their capabilities, i know for the money they are good, reliable, and fairly accurate .45's. But how about round count? Can any Norinco 1911 owners let me know how high their round counts are and if they have encountered any problems along the way?
Thank you

I purchased a new Norinco gov't model from Armco & so far it shoots like a house-a-fire....:)
Oh ya,....I'm up to 35 rounds!:p

Can't wait to get out next week with it.

I might even try the other norinco A1c I just got from Gunnar last month....

I bought one about 15 years ago & changes the sights & the trigger. Then I used it for IPSC for several years & still use it for practice & teaching new shooters.
It has at least 10K rounds through it without a single problem. It is still going strong.

I would guess that I have about 3500 rounds through my Armco tuned 1911 without any major issues. I think these are the best buy going for an entry level 1911. You can have Gunnar (or any other good pistolsmith) tune one up so that you have a reliable bun with an excellent trigger for less than the cost of of a base model Auto Ordnance or Springfield.

I stopped counting at 4500, that was last year, again it's an Armco, an A1 Compact. All I did was change the springs at 3,500 for some Wolffe's (just in case). Smooth, and very accurate, more than worth what it cost.
