Is there a chance norinco could do another run of the older parkerized commander style 1911's? A friend of mine has one and it's a way nicer gun than the newer ones IMO.

Yeah I think they look way better. And they came in a matte black Finish. Like a greyish black parkerizing.

that looks great compared to the new ones.
Can't say I'm a big fan of the Norinco "Sport Model" 1911s. I picked this one up from a CGNer, not sure when or who bobtailed it but it looked good aside from having all the Sport Model extended ambidextrous beaver-tail whatnot's. So I ended up obtaining some standard parts for it...

Yeah, somebody paid the smith. Norinco doesn't bobtail.

I like the look of the older one for the fact that it's not a stupid over-sized safety. I'd buy one of those.

Yeah maybe canadaammo can get norinco to make another run of them with the parkerized finish. And the Oder commander style hammer, sights, grip safety and safety.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I de-horned mine, stripped the blue with vinegar, and parkerized it myself. Wasn't difficult.
