Norinco 201c...9mm?

I owned one for a while and to be honest, it was worked on almost as much as it was shot... YMMV, but I would not consider it unless it's a really good deal.

Pros:

inexpensive
9mm (easy to source vs 'here today, gone tomorrow' 7.62x25)
Easy to field strip, maintain, clean.
Mag and barrel are altered for 9mm, not the frame or mag well. (I believe you can just swap a 7.62 barrel and mag and do an easy caliber conversion, but don't take my word for it...)

Cons:

Typical "Norinco" finish (lots of sharp edges on mine)
Hammer bite (lots of it, probably due to the wrap around grips and palm swell forcing your hand into a position that it would never be in on a standard Tokarev.)
The grips are cheap as F$%^ and were always loose on mine. (They used the same lock design as the Tok, which was only meant for side panel grip plates)

BTW, mine came with a 'way out of spec' extractor and would FTE on almost every 3rd round. I had to reshape the claw gradually, until I was able to fire at least a box of ammo reliably. (that took 3 trips back and forth between my workbench and the range.) After I had the extractor fixed and all the edges smoothed out, I only kept it another 6 months before I sold it (with full disclosure) to another CGNer.

I probably wouldn't get another.

Mine is a hammer, it just keeps working. They are rather sought after as they can be used as a donor to change a Tokarev 7.62 to 9mm as well.
There is some difference between the two calibers though.
The picture shows a 9 x 19 sporting 7.62 x 25 clips and mags. This is a problem if the RO calls a halt to firing; " Make clear "...um slight problem...

It is as it appears; the bullet is canting sideways as the ejector tries to do it's thing...but the nose of the loaded round hitting the side stops it.
It's not as bad as it appears though. Drop the mag and rack it back and the round from the chamber drops out the mag well. But some folks can abide this sort of thing and some can't.
BTW, it cycles 7.62 no problem when firing. But beats the snot out of the bbl bushing, I changed to a FSU on the 3rd one and stopped feeding it the Sub gun hot 7.62 ammo ( that's a troll there...my bad) and went back to 9 x 19
