Has anyone tried the lever action Norinco .22 rifle for accuracy? If so, I would be interested in hearing the results. They don't look too bad and the price is right, but do they shoot?
the JW-21 is a clone of the Winchester 94-22. Its a neat plinker, i was getting about 1.5" groups from 50 yards, so its not terribly accurate, the grooves are there for rimfire rings/scope. The action was a little stiff, and I never really got it smooth, but for less than $200 you really can't beat the price.
I've had one for 6 or 7 years now and I love it. Neat little rifle , smoothe and accurate hit what I point at. I was surprised with the fit and finish for a Norinco but it gets takedn care of as well as my $1300 dollar guns. Never a failure to feed or eject and eats everything it's fed. I don't think you'll go wrong.
A friend of mine got one last year and we took it out to compair against my Win 94/22. The finish was rougher with plenty of sharp edges and less attention to details (square corners where the 94/22 had round ones) but side by side with the same ammunition they shot the same.
Based on his one, I wouldn't hesitate to get one for a cheap plinker. The only caviet is that buying a Norinco can be luck of the draw, some shoot great others not so...
