I justr purchased a Norinco Em-332 from Marstar. When I first got the rifle, I was very impressed with the finish and appearance of the rifle. Given that this is a Chinese-made rifle, it is an awesome finish. After cleaning it, I took it out to the range. My first few groups were disastrous – I was seriously thinking of wrapping it around a tree. Then I noticed that the groups were getting a little tighter, so I decided to burn off some 150 rounds of miscellaneous ammo, thoroughly cleaning it about every 50 shots. Then I got down to business, seeing how well it would shoot. I fired several groups each of 6 types of ammo, all standard loads (no match ammo). Most of the ammo gave me groups around 1 inch at 50 yards (with scope). The best ammo I found for it was the Winchester High Velocity – I got several groups around ½ inch, the best about 3/8 in. This equals anything I was able to get with my son’s CZ, at almost 3 times the price.
As requested, here is a link to my second best target (7/16"). The best one is presently in a locker, and I'm too lazy to get it. However, it's not much better at 3/8". I have not been a competition shooter for over 20 years, but I'm hoping to get back into it.
I didn't imply that this little rifle shoots better than a match rifle, but it does shoot AS WELL as my son's CZ. Keep in mind that this is a $230 rifle with a scope worth about $50 (I didn't want to spend a lot of money on glass until I knew the rifle could shoot - it does and I will).
