Hey guys,

Canadian Tire has the Norinco crates of .223/5.56 FMJ/Lead core/brass ammo for sale but when I asked the guy if it was .223 or 5.56 he didn't really seem to know and said it would work either way. I guess what I'm looking for is if anyone who has bought this ammo in the past if they can confirm which it is as I don't want to put 5.56 down my .223, as well as their success using the ammo in terms or reliability and groupings at 100-200 yrds tops (as I have a 5.56 as well). Just looking for posts from people who have actually used the ammo.

Appreciation in advance.

Its 30 year old Chinese surplus. It's cheap it goes bang and it is fun! If you're looking for an accurate ammo keep looking, 1 out of 5 rounds will be a flier

I'd still love some insight into the ammo as I can use it in my T97. Is it worth the money to throw down range and have some fun and some accuracy at 100 yards or am I better to spend 50 cents a round and get accurate stuff? Just hard to beat 35 cents a round with this Norinco stuff.
