Hello I was wondering if anyone has reloaded there Norinco .233 Brass. Are the primer pockets crimped? Should I be useing a small base die if I am loading for the Ar-15? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Stefan

Primer pockets will be crimped. For low cost I like my Lyman primer pocket reamer ($13) Some of the pockets may be undersize and the reamer will open them up along with removing the crimp and leaving the proper radiuses edge around the primer pocket. It makes seating primers a breeze and works a lot better than a chamfer tool. I'd try whatever FL die you have first before running out to buy a small base die.

I load a lot of Norinco range pick up brass. The brass is a mixture of all brands and I do not sort it. It deprimes the same as other brass and it is primed without issue. There is the occasional crimped military case (IVI) that needs treatment, but Norinco has not been an issue.

I use ordinary Lee dies and the ammo fits all makes of AR I have tried it in.

All the norinco I have loaded was boxer and not crimped.

Found I only got a 4-5 reloads before i would start to see some split necks.
