Norinco 22's Are they any good ?

I have a jw15a that outshoots pretty much every other rimfire I own. Won't keep up to my 513T, but not much will.

All of the above recommendations are good. The savages are great shooters too. If you like the Norc, buy it. You won't be sorry.
 
The mauser trainer is a nice gun. They usually don't stay in stock.

I like mine (bought from Marstar) but had to file off some burrs in the receiver for the bolt to work smoothly. It takes CZ mags too.

This, you could buy several Cooey's off of the EE or at a gun show for $200, and you get a nice piece of Canadiana. I don't have anything against Chinese guns, but for your intended purpose, and budget, this would be my pick. Either that or I would be picking up a Savage.
 
I also have a JW15 compact. It shoots great and unlike many people, I've had zero problems with the included mag. I've also got two Marlin 795s (as mentioned above) that I love.
