The problem is that Vancouver and Seatac are considered the same port for shippers. However, if Chinese ammo is on board, Seatac is out. So do you hold of 8000 other containers for one full of ammo if no berth is available at Vancouver?

Then how are you going to get Chinese rifles & pistols ?
They are prohibited from US port same as ammo.

Run it through Prince Rupert?

Could you not do like what they do with Cuban cigars? They sell Cuban cigars in the US all they do is re-band them to make them look like they aren't from Cuba and then it's ok to sell...

That is the best reason to build the Northern Gateway Pipeline? All those empty Super Tankers coming back empty to Prince Rupert! Fill them up with Norinco ammo and guns. And if it doesn't work with crude oil tankers, use the LNG tankers into Kitimat B.C. These are all coming back empty from China filled with ballast seawater!!!!

If the sarcastic remarks continue, we may have to end our relationship ;)

COSCO is the only carrier the would handle ammo, they state that they no longer will. It is simply a return to the way things were prior to 2010, when no chinese ammo came to Canada after 1997 because no carrier would handle it.

Are the Chinese .308 and.45 ammo going to have the same faith? I really like the Chinese .308, they are fairly accurate, they make better group than store bought Remington ammo.

It is pretty simple guys, the HQ of the shipping company says they will no longer handle ammo. So no more AMMO from China.

Old 90s vintage surplus Norinco will not always be around. When it runs out -- and it will -- then you'll be paying a pretty penny for new production ammo.

Ahhhhhhhh, memories of yesteryear. Did you buy it cheap and stack it deep back then? Or were you innocent enough to believe that inexpensive Norinco surplus would always be around?

2 years later and you bump a frontpage thread to reply to yourself?

Considering norinco ammo doesn't make it's way into the US, we will not have a shortage of ammo, so no need to hoard ammo, it will always be around, stop acting like Americans.

TV-Press: If it makes you feel better, I was going to use this quote but didn't want to pick on Cherrybum. :p

Moral of the story? Never look a gift horse in the mouth. A scant two years later and the Norinco pantry is virtually empty.

I bought them cheap and stacked them deep but i wish it was deeper since ill be doing alot of tac rifle stuff. Time to clear the dust off of that pws 7.62x39
