Norinco 5.56??

I am thinking of getting some surplus Norinco 5.56 for my AR. Currently I am shooting the American Eagle tactical .223 in the black box.

Anyone shot the Norinco stuff? Is it decent ammo, and is it really non-corrosive?

In using it right now, just as good as the American eagle

I have shot tonnes of the stuff. I have also reloaded the brass countless times with nary a problem. Good stuff. If I had the cash right now, I would be buying a couple of cases from CanadaAmmo.

Love the stuff. I need to get more. Also depends what you are feeding it into. My Norc M4 has high tolerances. Eats it up no problem. When I had a Kel-Tec SU16, it hated the stuff.

question about the norinco 556, i have shot a lot of the norinco .45acp and it leaves lots of shavings and stuff behind, does the 556 do this, or burn dirtier?

Hypothetically: If I had the chance to get either the norinco .223 yellow box stuff or the american eagle tactical black box stuff at a very comparable price, is one better than the other in anyones experience?

Well I am now intrigued. Just wish you didn't ship with Canpar and used UPS. I have to drive 30 mins to get the canpar depot and the UPS one is a 2 min drive.

Only real difference I have found is lack of primer crimp, which most seem to like.
