hi, i just got my first restricted, a norc 54 with 7.62 & 9 mm barrels.(and mags)
it operates fine with the 7.62 rounds but refuses to eject about every 3rd 9mm round.
has anybody else this problem
i have cleaned it and tried it several times with the same result
the 9 mm rounds i have been trying to use are Sellier & Bellot, are there any known problems with this brand.
the 7.62 ammo that works fine is surplus

i had some problems with reloads of 124 grain round nose - winchester white box works perfectly- believe i found that i was reloading long ( longer bullet) and when i switched to 130 grain cast swc's the problem went away-what would happen , the slide would stick about halfway back after firing the round, and a simple tapr rack bang won't work- you have to remove the mag, and strip the slide off, all the time with a live round in the chamber and the hammer trapped in the half cocked position by the slide- terrifing to say the least

whoops my bad,
yes it is kinda like that i was thinking about it wrong, kinda hard for it to eject if the slide hasnt closed.
when it jams the slide is mid travel, cant make it move forward but you can pull it back and lock it
next you have to drop the mag
release the slid and let it go forward
pull the slide back again and it will eject a live round

it sure sounds like a similar problem- i knew my bullets were seated too long b'c the case would pull right off the bullet, dumping the powder down the mag- went to a shorter bullet (swc) and we off to the races- and yet it was still in spec for the beretta and my uzi- must be cut short chambered

If you are using the 9mm mags ( with the spacer in them ) then I would suggest trying the 7.62x25 and see if the problem goes away.
Mine feeds 9mm's fine from the non modified ( 7.62 ) mags. The 9mm rounds are shorter though & will sit further back.

Might work. It's worth a try.

ive got the conversion, and all you get are the 7.62 mags- never had a problem feeding from either one of them- just load to the rear and do your "tap" drill before you seat the mag( which you should be doing anyway)
