Does anyone know how many rounds came in the crates of Norc 556/.223 ammo that was around a few years ago? I can't remember if it was 1200 or 1600 rounds per crate. It's the ammo SFRC was selling at one time.

I put mine in ammo cans and just trying to do some inventory without counting it. I know how much I fired, so subtracting that amount would be easier than counting it. The ammo came wrapped in the brown paper with 40 rounds per pack. I think it was just over $300.00 per crate when I bought it about 2 years ago.

This is correct... There were two different kinds of crates you could purchase... The 1120 ones I still have come 20 rounds per white box.

It's been awhile since I blasted through all my 1600s, but I think those were the ones wrapped in paper.

You're correct, there were 40 rounds wrapped in brown paper in the 1600 round crates and 20 in the white paper boxes in the 1120 crates.

I bought 4 crates for the price of three, then sold 2 crates as I thought I'd spent too much money at $270 total per 1120 rounds.
Facepalm.

I only have 1.5 crates left. It was 1600 count crates. I'm starting to stress out and ration it.
I've been scouring the net trying to find a decent deal on bulk 223 but it's all too expensive for my taste.

I have quite a bit left but it makes me sad not to see any bulk 223 for any reasonable cost, had to start prepping 223 brass for the Hornady LnL AP just incase.
Been running reloads for my 223 for 3 gun matches, as Norc 223 damages steel

Facepalm.

I sold my last crate over a year ago and am still kicking myself for doing so. I still can't explain my thought process.

I think I'll just go tulammo now for price
