Is this the head stamp for the non-corrosive batch?
I believe anything made before 1994 used corrosive primers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
factory 71 1966Ok, so now I'm curious; what do the head stamp numbers mean?
Chinese used it into the 80s, even some today for the x54 we imported made in 2011I believe anything made before 1994 used corrosive primers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I have never seen corrosive chinese x51, although they did make it in the early days, I'm toldSo 63 ontop and 93 on bottom is factory 63 in 1993? My stuff is most likely non corrosive then ? ( it's 7.62 x51 )

One last question, is Sellier and Bellot 7.62x39 ammo corrosive?
If it's steel-cased surplus, it's corrosive.
you can just tell by looking that it is not brass, but brass surplus yugo will also be corrosive, but rare in CanadaStevo, how do you check for steel case ammo? (sorry I am totally showing my lack of experience with this ammo)
