Norinco 7.62x39 Surplus

I see on your website that you also carry the green cases of Norinco surplus 7.62x39 that is being hotly debated as corrosive vs non corrosive. You list yours as corrosive, was wondering if you have personally tested this stuff or how you arrived at the corrosive conclusion?

Almost all military surplus 7.62x39 ammo is corrosive - it's not a huge issue though, you just need to clean your rifle once you've been to the range! We carry Ballistol (which is on Deal of the Day today) which is an excellent solvent/cleaner/lubricant.

The holy grail of 7.62x39 surplus is non-corrosive, and Yugo ammo is this. It's hard to get hold of - maybe one day we'll manage it! We do, if you're in need of non-corrosive, sell Prvi Partizan. It's pricier but good quality.

Holy shyte disturbing.
Why not call every store and ask them to prove what they sell.
Did you call marstar yet? Or SFRC?

Corrosive is the worst case scenario. If it happen to be non-corrosive, all good for you, you made a huge deal. I prefer a seller to be pro-active, and assume all surplus from the 70' to be corrosive, than blindly trust the importer and sell it as non-corrosive, and think about it only after the deal went online (cf some other CGN dealer).

and it's only $89 to ship to Ontario while others do it for free.

We're working on our shipping model to offer better rates, and we're hoping to offer free shipping sooner rather than later. Shipping is a huge component for some locations, and for a 70 lb case of ammo, this is the most expensive thing we ship. We are aware that this product offers best value for local pickups and we sell plenty of it locally :)

i did the Estimate to were i live, its only $178.13 to NS haha

Yes, what can I say? It's expensive to ship that far for us even for something a fraction as heavy. That said, we are shipping cases of Federal Power-Shok rifle rounds for free anywhere in Canada right now, and next week we will offer cases of SCORE slugs with free shipping.

what carrier do you use to ship? i have had ammo shipped from BC to were i live for about $35 if i remember right last year with canpar which isn't bad at all but almost $200 is crazy, but in the end i am not looking for any ammo until after xmas, just looking to see what the best deals out there right now.

Thanks for your time

We use Canpar but it's possible our rates aren't as good. Our website is supposed to offer at-cost shipping but many times (especially the further away you are) it seems to add a chunk. Anyone is welcome to PM me a postal code for accurate shipping quotes, and for NS it's likely to be a lot cheaper than our website states. We'll try and get that rectified but we're hoping to move to a flat rate or free shipping model.
