There was another thread about this copper wash ammo and one poster mentioned how he weighed his cartridges and grouped them befire shooting for group size.

That interested me so i did it alongside Winchester Power Points

The Win ammo showed a smaller range of weights with a lower standard deviation.

Don't know if it means much but I am going to weigh a bunch of the Norincos and group them by weight.

Nice to see a much more detailed assessment of what I was doing, ya there is quite the spread among the overall weights I was getting without taking apart any of the cartridges.

Winter 2021/2022 I found the crates of Norinco FMJ at the Canadian Tire in Trail for $499 while every other retailer was selling the same thing for $699!

Seeing the prices this goes for now holy crap I am so glad I stocked up on it and I've only been shooting it from a bolt action so it will last me a very long time at the current consumption rates.

I’m not convinced that sorting loaded rounds by weight achieves anything significant, I’ve pulled a bunch of x54r down to make Mexican match in modern brass with non corrosive primers and I weighed each powder charge and then sorted projectiles by weight before reloading them.

Both the powder charges and projectiles varried, so while you might get lucky all you might be doing is sorting by overall weight and not having powder or bullets weighing the same. Which I think is more important in the hunt for accuracy.
