CR,

See? Told you to move on.

Just found this 4-bore thing:

The 2 guns you just posted look to be "Cape Guns" The top one looks to me like a Merkel. Cape guns are dangerous game guns with rifled barrels. Sometimes one barrel would be a shotgun barrel. Not a fair comparison to a norinco sxs.

Put me down for one! We can't hunt game with them, but nobody said anything about splatting seagulls and gophers with them! Besides, the true joy of having an 8-bore is the absolutely bada** round ball loads you could use for hunting deer, especially in primitive weapons season! Yes, quite.

Yep. I know lots of guys who would jump at the chance for one of these, contrary to the opinion of a select few.

My pre-purchase checklist:
1) short barrel?
2) built well enough to be unlikely to blow up?
3) factory ammo available?
4) if no factory ammo, then reloading components cheaply available along with some proven recipes in that gun?

Mark me as highly interested. Just not willing to be one of the first 8 gauge reloading guinea pigs in a cheaply-made gun. :)

I wonder if Mec. makes a 4 or 8ga. loader?

So you're 1/4.
