Notice to people with certain tendencies on CGN:
Before you start flaming and blaming,
the mag in the pic is LEGAL.
Just to piss of the leeches who always start shyte on this forum,
I should be left them guessing if it has
internal pin (spacer) attached to the plunger or floorplate,
dimple on the left side,
rivet in the front or whatever.
The reality is that it is not a AR mag,
it is a mag for a manual repeater (pump)
and it does not fit the AR receiver. End of notice.

:D so what are you trying to say? :slap:

Your 'trainer' has man hands. Is there something about your ###ual preferences that you would like to disclose maybe? It's cool. We're a tolerant bunch.

Also, I have a hard-on for your rifle.

yeah yeah .....I knew you wanted a drink .....your drool left a stain on my floor
The drool was yours when you've seen the hi-caps:D

Well, you've seen my preferences in the explicit pic:D

I don't really need tolerance.
But you may need it when you say you have a hard-on for a piece of metal:popCorn:

:)

Thanx for the Vid tootall.
What did you pay for your restricted version?
And are you selling yours? :D

Calum,

Its not mine to sell, it belongs to the owner of Lever Arms.
Blair / Dr VanNostern works there, and brought it up to our monthly Tac Rifle shoot for me to photo and test for a future CSSA magazine article.
Glad you liked the video. I have two more, but they are over 100Mb, so i cant upload to Photobucket. I'll have to find another site that allows bigger uploads.

Dr Lector,

Good internal photos. Is the gun yours? Do you have another of the first five that came in?

Not really, my camera sucks, it works whenever it wants, that’s why I could not continue the pics.
In the pics posted yesterday, I also wanted to show how the barrel is assembled in the receiver (it’s swaged and pinned into a steel bloc which is part of the receiver - some AK’s use the same solution). But because both the steel bloc and the main receiver (aluminum) are black, that would be hard to see with my camera. The rotating bolt locks into the same block of steel.
Also, I wanted to show the railing system used by the bolt carrier.
But at least I’m happy that I showed the gas system, which I find it to be extraordinary and incredibly nice.
Yes, it's mine.

I think Dr. Lector brought and had his guns for sale before Lever brought his.
No, Lever brought these guns before me.

How would you describe the rail?
How does it eject? AKs throw brass forward. What is its pattern and angle of ejection?
Rail is pretty solid, but it needs the exactly matching scope mount.
I don't remember if the scope mount has one or two locking levers.
I was too optimistic when I said that by March I should have the original scope:confused:

I don't believe it's imposible to duplicate that mount, but it requires some true machining.
But if I or somebody else makes a mount to match that rail and lock on it, it should have picatiny rail on top.

I understood from your previous posts that you are left handed.
To tell you the truth, I did not watch to see the ejection trajectory but hopefully in the next few days I will shoot it again and watch to see where the brass flies.
I will look closely to see if, in my opinion, a deflector might bring these guns into the use of the lefties.

I don’t know anything about the penetration of the 5.8 chinese cartridge
But this is how it shoots in a gun brand new fresh from the factory.

This is a target with three bursts
(finger-controlled, not using the burst feature of the selector)
from a Type 95, NOT 97, few years back. 25 meters, open sights.

In spite of the point of aim being the same for all three bursts,
you can distinctively see them on the target,
and this makes me believe once again
that the back sight being too close to the eye.

Too better judge that target, these are other targets
from the same session by the same shooter
with different other chinese military guns.

Type 79, finger controlled bursts.
It has bursts of about 5-6 shots each with a lot of time between them for reloading, etc.

Long time ago, in the early 90’s I had a Type79 in a "waterhole" (and safe heaven) which I have somewhere in Europe.
I messed with it about a year and I couldn’t make it shoot well.
Frustrated, I traded it for a toy I wanted badly at the time.
Sometimes, if I feel sorry that I got rid of that 79,
I look at this Type79 targets and I remember
what nightmare it was to keep it on the target:D

Type 79 in uninterupted string of FA.

Some AK (chinese), it was actualy a hybrid of different chinese models.
No compensator or muzzle device.
3-6 shots bursts.

target_120_ak.jpg

All the above targets were shot from the shoulder at 25 meters.

Same shooter, Chinese Dragunov,
225 meters, prone, gun rested on backpack.

10x scope, if I remember correctly.

Well I am a lefty but this thing is cool if it can work. What kind of deflector can be made? You may be on to something and give me some hope.
