Yeah ... The Norinco should be cheaper. Lets hope. The Tavor and Norinco are different animals. No optics for the Norinco as far as Im concerned ;)

I think somebody with time on his hands
can move that cocking handle on the side of the bolt carrier,
so a strong steel rail can be mounted on top of the receiver.
It shouldn't be that hard.
And since he's at it,
he should cut channels for the charging handle
in the plastic cover on both sides,
leaving provisions for left or right side options of the handle.

I don't think it would come too close to the face of the shooter.

maybe they dont have the same firearm safety guidlines over there.

1-keep your finger on the trigger AT ALL TIME!
2-Point anything you see.
3-shoot everything that moves.

4-After it stops moving, bayonet it
5- If it moves again after being bayoneted, use the grenade launcher on it
