Norinco 9mm Tokarev, anyone got one?

I have always liked the Tokarev pistols, however I don't like having to search out surplus ammo, I like reloading if I have a centerfire gun. A fellow had a Norinco 9mm Tokarev pistol in the EE and it was cheap, so I bought it. Haven't got it yet, but was wondering if anyone had one, what are your thoughts on it? I hear very mixed reviews on it, some say they are junk, others claim they are the best pistol ever made. Mine will be coming with two mags, are there dealers that have more mags for these?
 
i got one as my first pistol worked great, mine came with the 7.62x25 barrel and mags aswell. the only thing it hated was aluminum casings the ejector would rip the side off anything else was fine. beside that great decently accurate and cheap.
 
I had one and sold it, hated the sights and had poor feeding small in the hands. Cheap little gun though, two types of mags, with spacer and without depending on the gun you have.
 
Got a m213 from canada ammo when they were 99 bucks. It has been a fun gun and is accurate. I took out the spacer in the grip and went with the wider mags.

Been years since I have shot it so just for fun I think I will take it out this weekend.

Not sure yet if the spacer is in the mag or the magwell yet as I haven't got it yet. Where can you get either stye, as I would like more than two mags?
 
I couldn't find any of the slim mags and felt that the spacer made sense being in the mag reinforcing it. I bought a bunch from Lever back when I still shopped there. They still might have some.

The spacer is in the magazine...not the mag well...and when did the TT33 ever come with a wider mag....I collect Toks and variants....wider mag ????
 
The m213 I have came with a spacer in the grip and two thinner or slimmer mags. I removed the spacer and used mags that had the spacer for the shorter 9mm cartridge built into them.

The "thicker" mags are more robust and I couldn't find any of the "thin" mags even if I had wanted to use them.
 
I still have one of those M213's. I removed the spacer, rechambered it to 38 Super, (I use 7.62X25 mags), and added the muzzle brake that was available a few years back.

Gun is strong as bull - the recoil is unpleasant in 38 Super.
 
I have one of those M213's as well, for $99 I should have bought 2 or 3.

rough finish that needed a bit of work to smooth things out.

Interesting that you converted one to 38 Super :)

I'll have to take mine out again
