I know this has been talked before, cant seem to find anything (i know someone will post a link to it).

Any feed back on the Norc AR's?

Im looking at getting into the AR thing.

You get what you pay for, it's metric threaded so other buffer tubes won't work, and it's not an AR in my opinion.

Just save up for the real thing. You'll be happier.

If you want one, I saw a used one for sale in the BUY/SELL section of http://www.fabsports.ca/
scroll down to the bottom of the page, and he's also a site sponsor. I've ordered a ton of parts from Fabrice before, he's a great guy to deal with and super fast shipping. Go grab it before someone else does now that it's mentioned for all to see.

1:12 twist limits you to 55gr. boolits, but they do shoot..
I owned one for years...'Sold it just cause I needed an AR that I could take into the USA.

I owned one and wish I had kept it.

Its an AR, despite what those who know less about firearms may propose; it is a knock off of an M16A1 without the full auto trigger group.

It was a good gun when I owned it and it never failed to operate.

Neither did my Stag - another rifle I should have kept.

WOW, I paid that just for an upper a few days ago.

Fab is good to deal with, I bought some AR accessories from him.

CQ311s are reliable and accurate and a pretty good starter black rifle.

Mine consumed all ammo with no complaint and had a mag well that reliably worked with any AR15 magazine I had for it. The 1 in 12 thread was convenient when it came to using a 22 conversion kit, and the rifle was light and easy to point, unlike the more contemporary heavier barrelled AR15s.

Ugly to look at, but nice to shoot with ... assuming you are ok with iron sights.

I had one for a few years - it served me well until I upgraded.

The finish is junk... kinda like the bluish paint on a VZ58, but nowhere NEAR as durable. I refinshed mine with GunKote.

It's lightweight and accurate. As long as you don't want optics, you'll be fine. I found mounting optics on the carry handle to be less than ideal.

I would buy another one for cheap. $700 seems to be the going rate these days.

I had one for a while. Shot 55gr rounds just as precisely as my current Colt Sporter does. Only reason for upgrading to the Colt was vanity and the flat-top upper.

If I needed another cheap AR, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another CQ311.
