I've have one of these rifles for years and I've been trying to find out some things about it. I've heard it's copied from one of the brno rifles, which one?, Are the stocks or parts interchangeable. And is this the same rifle as the jw-15a I've seen advertized at marstar? Any information would be helpful.

Thanx Mario

Norinco EM-332

Seen these rifles on Marstar. Anyone know if there any good? Accurate? What are they a copy of. I've thinking of building a target rifle and without alot of funds I thought this might be a good start.

Yes, it is similar to the Marstar JW-15a. These are a copy of a Model 1 Brno. They frequently exhibit the lack of attention to detail for which Norinco products are famous. They usually shoot well. What sort of target rifle project are you considering?

They shoot quite well and are priced right.

If you want an interesting project I recommend the EM-332. It's built on the same action Norinco uses in their 'top fuel' olympic .22LR rifles (yes, before you ask the one we're selling is 'standard trim' rather than 'race gun').

If not, the JW-15A remains a good candidate for a budget bullseye blaster project.

Adding an aperture sight makes sense. If you are bullseye shooting, an aperture front would be a good idea. Depending on how you do it, a new stock could be quite expensive. A serious target stock is a major investment. If you are going to make the stock yourself, it would be an interesting project. You know how well the rifle shoots at present. It is possible to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but unless the rifle is inherently accurate, there would be no point.

I had a JW15 that outshot a winchester 52B repro from Japan.

Depends on the shooter? And an Asian made gun outshooting another Asian made gun?

Now, if with your JW15 you could outshoot a good marksman with an Anschutz or one of the other high quality European guns I'd be quite impressed. ;) :D
