Hi Guys,
Not sure if this belongs in the Hunting and Sporting section, as I don't hunt, but I just picked up a Norinco Coach Gun SxS and was wondering if the stock can legally be cut down to a pistol grip... Obviously not trying to create a prohibited weapon, I know it has to be 26'' overall length, but I also know that we have some funky laws up here in regards to modifying a guns length after it leaves the factory.
I know it's not practical to do, but seeing as this shotgun is purely for fun/range use with mostly target loads I think it would look cool without the stock. I am obviously not trying to break any laws though in this pursuit of coolness, has anyone done this or heard of it being done, or is it a complete no-no?
The guy at the store seemed to think it was illegal to do so, but I don't know if he has actually measured the gun or if he was just assuming that it would be too short. Would appreciate any clarification on this issue!
Thanks!
