Well another birthday come and gone, decided to treat myself to a new toy, was looking at a selection of .22s but I have enough of those for the time being. Then I remembered one of my childhood wishes was to always have a coach gun, one trip to canadian tire later and that wish came true :dancingbanana: I purchased a norinco jw2000 coach with the exposed hammers. Anybody else ever use them? They are a little rough in the finish department but all that really counts is that I can put 2 shells in, #### 2 hammers, pull 2 triggers, and get 2 bangs. 150 flawless rounds through it on a skeet shoot yesterday is making it a mainstay in my cabinet!

I've got one. Awesome backpacking/truck gun. Believe it or not I've killed more grouse with it then my 870. Anything past 30-40ft is a waste of time but when your backcountry canoeing up north the birds are dumb enough you could almost kick em to death.
Like you said, the fit and finish is a little rough but mine probably has 500+ rounds through it now and has never failed to go "Bang!".
Lives 90% of it's life in my truck or in a canoe/backpack. It certainly hasn't had the easiest life and looks it, but functionally is still 100%.

I've had mine for a year or two now and have put about 500 rounds through it. Mostly buckshot.

My barrels have come apart from double firing or I think a crappy solder job. I've repaired it and still shoot it, just not both barrels at the same time.

Other then that it's alot of fun. I would buy one again I would just have a look at the soldering first.

The only one I've ever handled was loose and off-face before it even fired its first round. The owner later offered to let me use it for a round of skeet, but I politely declined. The Norinco makes a Boito look like a Purdey.

Skeet with 12" barrels? I think I would almost pay to watch that.

Me too, but my norc jw 2000 came with 20" barrels in 2007... Rounded the corners off, did the stock, changed beavertail foreend to splinter style. Looks better, has around 2500 down the pipes.Still use it as main hunting and skeet gun.

Yup,ugly or not, she'll get the job done and lasts probably a lifetime...sks,coachguns,1911...the norinco craftsmanship is is rather rough, but their steel is hard enough to take long term abuse. If you have 18" or 20"...keep her.
