YES! Norinco CQ-A lower + Colt Canada IRU + Vortex Sparc II RDS. I am not sure about mounting the RDS forward like that, but it doesn't really matter. Stock Norc parts except for extractor and Spikes Tactical T2 buffer. Rail covers from ebay.

And shooting Norc 5.56 NATO too! I think the ammo is the limiting factor here. These are shot supported by a sandbag on a table. Interesting that with the Norc upper it ejects at 2 o'clock and with CC IUR at 4 o'clock.

Please try using some better ammo if you want to shoot for groups.
I will suggest Hornady Steel Match.
You will be surprised, then you can go back to shooting Norc 5.56.
 
Hey how tight does it fit?

My colt lower and iur upper are almost too tight. It takes more then bare hands to get the rear pin out. (bullet tip works)
 
Slightly tighter than Norc upper. But not so tight that I cannot get the pin out with my hands. Either way, either one still wiggles (but so does the issued C7 and C8...).

I had mine to the range yesterday first time. Had to sight in my strikefire then put approx 100 rounds thru it. Fed norc surplus and mfs perfect. Winchester 223 not so hot, had a few fail to extract. I was pleased overall. On a 50 yard shilouette target I can put 5 in the head portion. Not expecting 1 moa with no magnification and cheap bulk ammo. Really want that colt handguard I find the rail odd in my hand.
