Norinco Colt Woodsman clone?

I saw this little gun on marstar the other day, and was wondering whether or not anyone had any experience with the m-93 ( http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/22-M-93.shtm )

I've had good experiences with norinco's m14s and their line of shotgun clones, but I'm not sure about this particular gun's build quality and reliability. I know their coach guns have a tendency to KB!, so I'm terribly cautious about any norinco purchases.

Has anyone shot one of these before? Is it still a good deal considering at $150 bucks its more than half the cost of a Ruger MK. III and Browning Buckmark?
 
There certainly is.

I do not but all kinds of people do, search function is your friend and look around the pistol threads. Be prepared for a very long wait for a new one from Marstar, I have seen used ones for sale for $125 in the rimfire EE recently. Sign up for it. I do own a plinker and for about $300 you can get a gun much sooner from the EE site or a local gunshop. Hang around and browze the threads, you will see everything. The classics brands are classic for a reason, look for used and save $$$. Name brand guns should last tens of thousands of .22 rounds with little wear.
 
They vary from very good to lemons, it really depends, mine just keeps going and going. the Mag lips bend easily and I suspect that is a big part of the problem.
 
I have owned an M-93 for a couple of years now and it works fine. Finish ain't too bad either. Seems that the quality has fluctuated from time to time but mine is good considering the price.
Shop around though because some retailers will only provide 1 magazine and want $35.00 for the other and others will supply both for the same price. I say "both" because it clearly appears that 1 mag has been removed from the package.
 
My girlfriend has had hers for a couple years now and we've shot only about 500 rounds through it.

Out of the box the mag was terrible and was very resistant when sliding the follower up and down. I tried to clean it up as best I could and in the end it still jams 1 in 20 rounds it seems.
For 130$ from marstar it's a great little gun but I really wish that the mags weren't so crappy. Maybe it needs more cleaning but I too agree that the finish was very nice, I found the front sight a bit high for my liking and the rear sights are hard to set so that they don't move around while shooting.
 
The first thing I did was a total take down to parts, clean, and lube with CLP,
mags included. This gun need all the sticky to be removed from the chamber.
Brake Kleen did a great job.
There are good ones and there are some that have to be sent back. I was lucky and my M-93 runs through .22 rimfire with very few glitches. Fewer than my Medalist or M41 smith.

And if you don't like it you can sell it on the EE for what you feel it is worth.
I consider the EE a rental / exchange program, where you pay fair value for a gun, use it, then sell it for a fair value -damage or improvements reflected in the price, with shipping being the rental /exchange cost...
 
This is the only non american made gun I own. It was my first pistol and for 150 bucks I think that every gun owner should have an obligation to buy one!
The handle is really small but beside that I've had no problems with mine either. I've used it rarely in recent times but I intend on holding on to it for a lack of better reasons. It's always a nice piece to share with someone who fires a pistol for the first time, it takes the edge off before going to something bigger. It's definitely a good buy in terms of value.
 
Its an awesome gun for the money...mine is very well made, very accurate, but occassionally has FTFs with lighter ammo. I use it as a night rat hunting gun, and it has five to its credit so far. The lady also loves shooting it. Until I recently picked up a like-new Mk2 for $225 I thought I couldn't do better. I would say it is a must buy.
 
I have one and it has been fine. Finish is good, no jams to date, mag was OK - I got it from Marstar a year ago. I think it is worth what you pay for it - it sure isn't anywhere near a Glock, HK or Sig, but for a plinker - what the heck!
