There's a big long thread about this already. I know because I took a look at mine the last couple nights. Apparently some have had success with proper press and tapered punches. Some have given up and cut the thing off with a Dremel.

DONT DO IT!

Dremel if you must, they are not meant to come out after they are installed. Leave it be, or buy a rifle that you can mod easily. Like a milspec one.
Norincos are meant to be shot the way they come. Not easily modded...You can if you like to modify almost anything you want to put on it though.

Sure wish you had of said that before I did a complete makeover to mine. No wait...that is wrong, they are a piece of cake with the correct equipment and knowledge - table top gunsmiths need not apply as usual

me too. i just took mine to the gunsmith and let him take off the old site and put on a new gas block only cost me $45.

if you dont have a press you will have a hard time getting them out.

Even milspec pins are a bugger to get out. You gotta make sure you're knocking them out the right way. You got a caliper? Check which side is narrower and punch from that side. Also, get a cupped set of punched. Invaluable for this. Home depot has them under the heading of nail finishing punches. That said, I've never worked on a Norc so YMMV.
