Norinco CQ-A not ejecting properly

I have a Norinco CQ-A and it is not extracting properly. For some reason it is leaving the fired case in the chamber and tries to load the next round. Has anyone had this problem or know a fix for this?

sounds like extractor issues possibly missing the extractor booster in the spring area.one possibility.

Get a #60 rubber or neoprene o ring and put it around the spring.

Got that fix from whenindoubtfixit. Works well on both our norcs.

Arms East should have the parts you need.
If you have one of the 10.5" units, there hasbeen some talk about ejector issues.
But most carbines can benifit from the upgraded exstractor o ring

It is a 10.5". Do you know the part number or is it the full extractor?

are you using the cheapy nork mags? I got unreliable feeding from those. I tossed mine.

The handful of times mine had a FTE was due to improper seating in the mag and usually a LAR-15 and never a PMAG.

Glen I had the same issue after 10 rounds on my Norc 10.5. I replaced the extractor spring ($3) and voila! Just fired 100 rounds tonight with zero issues!

Questar has the spikes extractor booster or check out Brownell. I just had a bushmaster extractor spring put in.
