Cambodia – Type CQ 311 used by Royal Cambodian Army, along with M16 rifle. CQ 5.56mm Type A used by 911 Para-Commando Special Forces.[citation needed]
Iran – Iran makes a copy of the CQ as S-5.56, used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Infantry.[citation needed]
Thailand – Used by Royal Thai Naval Air and Coastal Defense Command.[citation needed]
Libya – Used by National Liberation Army.[22]
Malaysia – Used by the RELA Corps Department as training weapon along M16A1. Some rumour says many M16A1 had changed the standard forwards grips (old or damages part) to CQ grips for save cost purpose.
Paraguay – Norinco CQ-5.56mm Type A adopted by the Special Forces [23]
Syria – Some units of the Syrian Armed Forces have been reported as using the Norinco CQ. Possibly also in service with some government paramilitary formations.[citation needed]
