Norinco CQ-A

The bolt doesn't stay open after firing the last round 60% of the time on mine. I've been told how to fix it just havent done it. None the less, it's a blast to shoot I would like to get another in the 10 inch barrel

What have you been told to do to fix that? I have been having the same issue.

Change the mag follower if you haven't already done it.
Yes my Norc M4 swings with the big boys, no problem. I added a Crusader brake since this photo.

you have to file the back side of the action release button a little bit at a time so the bolt doesnt have to travel as far back allowing it to catch easier. A friend had the same problem on his and thats how he remedied the problem.

I got mine not long ago. Zero problem so far. Accurate and quality/finish is fine for what you pay for. Ambi controls are a big plus for me as I am a lefty. The thing is anodized. The gun works very well and nothing beats it for the price.
But... As you know you have to expect some problems... The "clone" is really close the the real thing but some parts are still not perfectly up to the specs... Stock and ASAP sling plate got there with no issues. The tube is commercial size. Trigger guard upgrade was also with no issues. Barrel threading is true. Any muzzle device will fit no problem. 1/2x28TPI.
I also put in there an ambi charging handle I had. Works with no issue.

Here's the issues I got with mine:
-Replacing the grip. Had to remove just a little material on the grip to get the perfect fit. Nothing crazy just a little work.
-Replacing the handguard. Had to remove a little material on the rail system to make it fit in the hand guard plate. Norc one is a little smaller then spec. As you can see on many Youtube videos. As for getting it in the delta ring, I does fit but you will have a hard time to get it in there. Well at least with mine. Once it's in place and locked with the handguard screws it's rock solid. No shift while fireing.
I tryed another BCG in there and it will not fit properly due to the gas tube been over sized. It will not enter a normal spec BCG gas key. Well I might change the gas tube in the future so I can use any BCG. The bolt do fit perfectly in the barrel extension. other then the gas tube issue any BCG will fit the upper. The action is good.

But still a good deal. New models are doing the job just fine.

I had the same issue with mine for the grip as well. No problems though with the quad rail. The finish on the new ones are good, mine had a little over spray and my buddys looks like it was painted with a brush. (his is one of the first ones)
