Are you sure it is 16" and not 14.5"? Just asking because I thought they only come in the 14.5 and 10inchers.

Regardless, I have a 14.5" that is the carbine length hand guard. A lot of quad-rails have trouble fitting the Norinco's without some modification. HOWEVER, I did a lot work trying to find a quad-rail for mine, and finally found it online at Marstar. It fits perfect with no modifications to the rifle at all. It actually fits better than the stock issue plastic hand guards.

It wasn't that expensive and it is excellent quality. Ive used various forward grips, bi-pods and a sling attachment and not a single problem.

Agreed on the 14.5 - unless they've changed something - the only reason 16 inch is common in the US is that under 16 requires $200 tax for an SBR. The 'piece together' free float rails work well on the Norc, usually only requiring removal of the Delta Ring assembly.

yea it is a 14.5 they didn't know what they were talking about where i bought it, and holy hell is this ever an expensive hobby to pick up

I put a troy low pro gas block with a troy 9" free floated quad rail handguard. Works Primo

i have decided to just slowly build a whole new upper the way i want. and then im sure once im done with that i will start a lower and end up with two full rifles! hahahaha.

I have been doing that as well, very slowly. So far my upper has an upgraded buffer, buffer spring, I finally found a left-handed charging handle with a large latch and an Armalite bolt/bolt carrier parts kit. I dont count the quad-rail and EOTech. The last thing I want for the upper is an upgraded bolt and bolt carrier.
