Don't worry about the manual - it's almost useless except for the entertainment value. Look up field stripping on the web or buy a book (The M16/AR15 Rifle by Joe Poyer, North Cape Publications, 3rd edition from Amazon includes everything you will ever need to know about this rifle.)

x2. Don't bother with the original manual. There are much better AR manuals avail online. Although the ones online don't have UFO's on the cover.

Yeah, I laughed my ass off when I got mine. Fortunately the rifle shoots beautifully. The flying saucers and bizarre English had me worried for a bit. That and the black BBQ paint...
