I have realized that the serial number on the lower of my Norinco CQA appears to be just anodized/ painted onto the surface.
I believe this can rub off eventually to wear and tear.
Is there another location on the firearm where the serial number is?
I am sure it would not be good if this serial number wears completely off, so what are the options available for us owners?
Thanks!

Yea good question I was wondering the sane but I want to paint the gun and get rid of that norco logo, I was thinking maybe stamping just the serial should do

I'm not sure what is in law but be very careful. I think that any way altering the serial is disallowed. I've never seen a serial number that wasn't stamped into the steel or on a metal tag (plastic guns). Who would have thought Norc would come out with an innovation...:p

Can the Norinco dealers put their two cents on this topic?
The serial number on the lower receiver will definitely come off eventually without any effort, so what can one do on this matter as far as making sure the serial numbers stay on permanently?

Go to Princess Auto or Canadian Tire and buy yourself a number stamp set. Stamp the serial number on the lower and no more sleepless nights worrying about the serial number rubbing off... :)

Thanks, the above covered the legal part. So what is the best and most law-abiding method of doing this?
Dealers, any recommendations?
