Norinco CQA

I bought my cq-a in November from Tenda. They had a great sale. Maybe youll find a sale if you keep am eye out. Mine was 600 taxes and shipping included.
Last time I took it to the range I averaged 3.25 moa with mixed range brass and campro bullets. I have a Bushnell trs25 red dot on it. I'm very happy with it.

I have one in 10.5" that I run like my work gun. No issues at all.

If you want admire your firearm, buy something else.
If you want to actually shoot it and not cry when you scratch it, buy a CQA and enjoy it :p

You don't need a cheap gun to enjoy shooting and putting scratches on. They are tools, not art pieces.

My KAC is scratched up, all my high end precision rifles are scratched up.

By a good gun and use it for what it was built for. Life's too short to waste money on sh*try chicom stuff.

No experience with them , but I did use a Nork Chrome Lined 20 barrel on my AR build. It really shoots!!

Hello all, I'm just wondering if anyone here has any experience with the norinco CQA's ? better to spent my money else where?

We purchased our Norinco M4 clones from Marstar when they first arrived in the country @$699. They have been 100% reliable and I would purchase them again in a heartbeat. That being said, if the flood of North American AR15's had happened at the same time, we might have gone with one of them...

Cheers
Jay

Here's an old pic when we first got them. My wife put Cav Arms pink furniture on hers.

They now wear GG&G 35M QD mounts & Bushnell Elite 6500 1.25-8x32 scopes. Mount and optic is worth more than the rifles, lol! Here's my wife's.

If you plan crossing borders to try some US 3gun or other matches, it will be a negative to owning a norinco (US ban). That being said, they are a hell of a tough gun for the price (if you don't want to tacticool the hell out of it)

With a 10.5" or 14.5" barrel you're gonna have issues heading to the USA regardless of brand.

I had a 10.5". Ran it for a couple seasons of 3 gun and it never let me down. The best was showing up to matches and having other shooters slinging crap on my Norinco, then watching their rifles (often double or triple the price) choke mid-stage when my CQA just kept chugging along.

I have had 2 and they both served we well. There can be some difficulty adding/swapping in aftermarket parts but thats just part of the fun. A decent used one can be had in the $500-$600 range. If you want something that will run and you don't care about the finish, then this is the gun. If you want it to be aesthetically pleasing then save for something better.

They are solid- but for roughly the same price , maybe a little more. There is a couple alternatives available that don't support the ccp.

A M15 305 is one gun. This is a different gun and design. Look at only the gun you are interested in. Yes the CQA 14.5 is a shooter. With the carry handle that comes off and a cheap scope or red dot and bulk ammo, lots of good fun. Best to just shoot it. If you dump a 1000 dollars into it, then it will still be a 600 dollar NORC. Go into that with your eyes open to that fact. If its a keeper, have at her.

like everyone has mentioned above dont go in thinking your gonna be able to resell the gun later for a profit.
that said i have 2, 1x10.5 and 1x14.
i got them back before the AR craze took over and the AR prices dropped way down.
i dont regret buying them - they got me into the AR game for cheap and they have never failed me.
they where a good gun to learn on, band around and scratch all to hell.
once i felt i was well versed in the AR platform i upgraded my AR's to some nicer ones, but i still have my 2 Norc's.
they sit in my safe and wait.
i wont ever sell them, i got them cheap and ran them hard and they still run.
why sell something that works?

I have a CQA 14.5
I have a magpul bolt release and a tuff force rail... no issues installing them.
My Lar15 and magpul mags work well too.
It's my first AR and I got it for a bargain, can't fault it so far.
