Norinco CZ, Sig clones...?

Does anyone here have experiences with either the CZ, or Sig clones, by Norinco? Specifically:

*Are parts interchangeable with 'brand-name' units, especially grips, firing pins and magazines?

*Are their feed issues with HP, or wadcutter cast bullets?

*Have their been issues with the aluminium frames on the Sig clones, at high round counts?

I would prefer a nine, but please tell my why one of the forties would make sense. (For target purposes, I would be calibre-agnostic, if the costs were similar.)

Any experiences and insights you could share would be most welcome.
 
I just picked up a NP-34 [9mm Sig 228 copy] from P&G. Although I don't shoot 9mm ordinarily, I decided a cheap 9mm pistol was on my shopping list, and I like Sigs a lot, so it was a natural buy. Frankly, I'm impressed with it. Once I scrubbed off the oil, it appears to me to be as tight and almost as well finished as my genuine Sig p226&227.

I can't tell you too much about parts interchange, but I got some Hogue wraparound grips for it, and they fit perfectly. So far I've only shot ball ammo, and not much of it, but given the quality of the internal finish I would expect it will perform well. I had no problems firing off my first 70 rounds. I'm ordering some extra Norinco mags from Marstar, and I imagine genuine Sig mags would probably fit okay.

The only downside is that the trigger is fairly rough, esp. the DA pull. SA pull isn't bad however. I suspect it will wear in as time goes on.
 
I have the 226 copy as well as a sig mk 25 the sig mags on the NorC fall out. The rail is different from my sig haven't tried any fittings tho. The trigger on my NorC is heavy on first pull. But the gun works well and is worth the money.
 
The steel framw cz85 copy (nz85) I have shot was excellent. comparing it vs the alloy frame np22 I far preferred the nz85 die to the extra weight. quality on both guns was excellent. The stock grips are poor though.
 
I shot IPSC production with an NP-22 and it worked great, I used norinco mags but sig mags do fit. Had a trigger job done by armco machine and plating. Single action pull was great but double action was a little heavy. The decocker was a nice feature when you are loading and making ready. I put about 3000 rounds through mine with no issues.
 
My NP-22 has seen about 3000 rounds at this point. One failure to feed (Only half stripped the round out of the mag, round got stuck), also I had the trigger bar break. Apart from that, no major issues. The DA trigger pull is nowhere near as smooth as a real Sig, but apart from that it's fine.

Sig magazines don't fit in perfectly - the mag catch notch needs to be moved upwards by 1-2mm.
 
Any pictures of your NPs and NZs?

Again, with either CZ or Sig clones, is there any real reason to prefer the forties over the nines (not seeking to ignite a partisan cartridge war)? I don't consider recoil an issue, am not too fearful of kabooms, but am wondering if the forty versions are built stouter, especially the NP58.
 
My dad shoots an NZ-85. He has maybe a thousand rounds through it, I think. So far it's treated him well, but that's such a low round count it's hard to say what the longevity will be like.

On the other hand, most gun owners don't shoot much, so it wouldn't be an issue for many people anyway.
