I still don't get it...
I got this "like new" M-14S/M305 from someone who bought it new in Sept.
It's serial # is 0060xx, so it would seem to have been manufactured in 2000, am i right ?
So why is Norinco website and every GunNutz here refer to this rifle as the M305 (the chinese website says the M305 is an upgraded version of the M-14S ...
), while mine is (edit: it's stamped M14) registered as an "M-14S". Even the original cardboard box was marked M-14S.
Is there really "M305" stamped on some newer rifles ? like those made after year 2000 ?
If so is there any mechanical differences between the y2k or older M-14S and the "newer" M305 ?
