I have owned (and sold) two of the 12.5 ones.
My experience is some/all of the fasteners on the gun are finger tight or less right out of the box. So after a few shots for many owners, stocks break, hammers stop working etc.
That leads to the piece of crap opinion that is out there about these guns.
Thus, it is highly recommended that before you fire a shot, you disassemble the gun and action (it really is quite simple) and loktite every fastener, nut etc.
Follow this rule and you will find a fairly heavy, crudely made, crappy chu wood stock, i.e. a poorly finished firearm. But it is also great fun to shoot, especially for new shooters who want some muzzle flash and recoil.
I loved shooting this gun.
The massive chunk of steel that went into the action reminded me of a tractor part.
As with any short barrel shotgun, ear protection is a must, unless you want to permanently damage your hearing.
You can also get your money out of one if you decide it's not for you.
Personally, I preferred the Norinco JW-2000 checkered stock version to handle that recoil.
Also, firing both barrels at once is possible, but will shorten the life of the gun (internet opinion, I never did that).
OP, check your Canadian Tire, they were regularly in stock at my local one in Alberta. Probably the south Edmonton super Canadian Tire carries them.
There is one on the EE right now,
