Norinco handguns

beretta maybe, but glock... LOL now's that's funny. One the Chinese don't have the technology or formula to glock's proprietary polymer frame, and 2 they don't know how to do ferritic nitrocarburizing (tennifer metal finish) so if they did copy one, it would have a metal frame that would force them redesign a lot of things on the frame. And to be able to sell it here for $350 the distributor would want them made at $20 a piece, doesn't seem like a deal Norinco would jump on.
Even if the Norinco made glock copies, the new glocks can be had for $500 for military & LE, etc, etc, and used glocks are getting cheap as well. So for $150 difference i'm sure nobody would buy a Norinco glock even at $350, maybe $100 LOL.

Berettas would be a stretch and Glocks are completely out of the question. If you want a cheaper 92, get the Taurus.
True enough, but Glock has built up SUCH a massive reputation it has become like Porsche "there is no substitute"

I think that Norc did a decent job on their handguns, but they certainly are far from perfect. I have a number of complaints in regards to the 1911 and the NP22 when compared side by side to Sig Sauer counterparts. My P226 and Sig 1911 easily outclass the Norc copies.
In regards to the 1911 I really didn't like how the locking lugs wear unevenly as the round count increases. Clearly they are pretty well built, and the Norc slide happily works great on the Sig Sauer frame. The sig slide on the Norc frame didn't work because the Norc doesn't have a series 80 safety on it, but it did fit and rack nicely on the norc frame.
The NP22 is really rough around the edges, but I would say it is a better quality copy than the 1911 is. Tapped holes are a real weak point on both, the threading rarely looks good and feels like it would easily strip whereas the Sig's do not feel this way.
I've come to the conclusion for myself that I'm more than happy with Norc rifles, but my pistols can be no other brand than Sig Sauer.

I used to own a Norc CZ75 clone. It functioned perfectly, shot accurately. Not as pretty as a European gun, as is usual with Norcs. The only significant drawback was that the dimensions were slightly different from a CZ, making it hard to find a holster.
